Live at the Montco-PA Sports Hall of Fame 2011 Banquet 9/27

A.P. [Phila.] In an exclusive interview with "My Baby Magazine" Philly-based, funk/fusion band, The Big Unkle "speaks out" for the first time amid accusations that they frequently misuse the term, "Dirty Diaper Funk" when describing some of their favorite musical influences. Some critics and advocates for stinky-butt babies say that the term is insensitive and biased toward malodorous tykes who are simply in need of a change and quick swab with a moist wipe. The article surfaces as the group prepares for their appearance at The Tin Angel this Friday at 10:30pm. In a brief statement released late last evening, band spokesperson and keyboardist, Ken (Unkle) Murray (seen here on the left) added that, "this Friday's show will be our last in the City until next year, so if folks want to see what all the talk is about--they need to come smell and hear for themselves." Band members, Henderson and Theurer could not be reached for comment. <<photo by Steve Schultz

Today in music histroy in 1997 - VH1 aired "Storytellers" live for the first time. The show was a 90 minute special featuring Elton John from the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA. To this day, this is still one of my favorite shows (on VH1).
He's one of my favorites featuring Pearl Jam, doing there classic "Alive"
