The Big Unkle's D3-B is bringing "Reverbz to the Suburbz" by providing the funky musical soundscape bourne of the contageous lyrics, poppin' back beats, punchy horns and driving bass of Motown classics, 70s soul grooves and old-school funk for a bunch-o-folks who are setting out to have any excuse to eat together, drink together, talk trash together, dance together, get drunk together, dance again together, drink more together, dance together, (this time with maybe a bit more rhythm) get tired together, suddenly start to look better to each other, hang on each other, request a slow song together,  leave together, sleep together, wake up together, introduce themselves to each other, get tired OF each other---and then? Never see each other again! Until the next time the D3-B comes to town with 12 muses and 32 personalities who are on a mission to crank out some of the funkiest music that these suburban Muggs have ever heard. Get trapped w/ The D3-B at The Trappe Tavern 416 W. Main St., Trappe, PA (only a few blocks from Ursinus College)

The Premier of The Big Unkle's Mo' Funken Blues Band

For Immediate Release----

Edited by Pony Thanks

King of Prussia, PA -- The Big Unkle Production Company held a public "test drive" of their latest creation---The Big Unkle's Mo' Funken Blues Band on their home stage at Peppers in King of Prussia last Saturday night. Along with TBU's Dirty Dozen Dance Band (aka The D3-B); The MF Blues band is a part of the new fall line. This latest mod squad includes guest appearances by some of the area's top musicians hardwired or fused to the chassis of TBU's noted rhythm section. With lead singer, electric violinist, and front runner, Alice-Marie Quirk (on break from her U.S. tour with Celtic rockers, BarleyJuice) and  Bryan Betts of The Bryan Betts Group on guitar, the MF Blues Band paid homage to traditional blues and jazz covers flavored with the Unkle's signature funk and soul influences as the driving force that makes the earth move. A band already known for producing a new experience for its friends and fans every time they take the stage---TBU now takes the concept to a whole 'nuther level with this latest excursion. First timers witnessing TBU discovered a new appreciation of the blues and TBU's veteran fans were in awe as the interplay between violin, guitar and bass marked a new and unique sound in a town that is inundated with scores of top 40 and classic rock cover bands with their "same songs--different band" aproach to entertainment. The MF Blues Band heads off to Philly next month and will be back in the western burbs in November.
